Best friends Dave Jacobs and David Greenberg had more in common than their employer, or their executive roles at a large medical supplies manufacturer and distributor.
Both were helping to coordinate care for their aging parents, and both were frustrated trying to navigate the system.
“We just knew that there were…millions of folks in America that are care recipients that want to live at home independently, or family caregivers that are trying to figure out what to do and make the best out of what could be a crummy situation,” said Greenberg.
It’s why both took a leap of faith back in 2018 to start Homethrive, a next generation caregiving service revolutionizing support for unpaid family caregivers and their loved ones.
In just over three years, the company has tripled in size and now works with more than 100 organizations, from employers, to insurers, to affinity groups.
And now, Homethrive is thrilled to announce funding to take our offering to the next level, thanks to more than $20 million secured in Series B Funding from lead investor Human Capital, with additional funding from 7Wire Ventures, Pitango Healtech, and Allianz.
“We want to be the standard of care,” said Greenberg. “We want every big company in the world to offer family caregiving support; we want all (insurance) plans to support it; we think that the caregiver journey is worth celebrating and we could provide resources to make that experience as helpful as possible.”
Stay tuned! The best is yet to come!
